李东荣在2012年全国金标委工作会议上讲话表示，未来要全面深化金融标准化国际交流与合作。2012年，人民银行制定了金融移动支付系列行业标准，并已在上周正式发布。目前，国际标准化组织正在开展移动支付国际标准的研制，我国也已派人参与此项工作组。今后我国将在相关重点领域进一步发挥自身优势，提升我国在国际标准化领域的地位。
