为促进清洁生产，提高资源利用效率，减少和避免污染物的产生，保护和改善环境，保障人体健康，促进经济与社会可持续发展，制定《中华人民共和国清洁生产促进法》。
In order to promote clean production, improve resource utilization efficiency, reduce and avoid the generation of pollutants, protect and improve the environment, safeguarding human health, promote economic and social sustainable development, formulated the "the people's Republic of China Cleaner Production Promotion Law".
经2002年6月29日第九届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第二十八次会议修订通过，自2003年1月1日起施行。
