ISO certification ISO certification standards help to measure ocean noise

The Commission has developed the first publicly available specification standard: ISO / PAS17208-1: 2012acoustics - description and measurement of underwater noise of ship generated quantities and procedures - part first: General requirements for measurement in deep water. This file can be used to contract requirements, cycle that feature evaluation and research and development. The target user is included in the auditory sensitivity of running waters of government agencies, research vessel operators and ship owner.

SC3's scope of work will focus on underwater sound generation, transmission and reception, and sound at the bottom of the sea, sea surface and the organism's reflection and scattering measurement and assessment methods, and will include underwater sound to the underwater environment, human and the aquatic biological effects on various aspects of the field.
