近日，一封来自澳大利亚交通部的邮件令汽车工程研究院认证管理科的全体员工兴奋不已，经澳大利亚交通部正式批准，陕汽集团提交申请的“SX SERIES 6×4(2)”首批三款车型通过了澳大利亚认证，成为中国首家取得澳大利亚NC类（等同于国标的N3类）认证的重卡企业。

2012年初，由进出口公司发起，公司内各部门配合对进入澳大利亚市场进行全面筹备；经过市场调研，最终确定第一批开展认证工作的三款车型为F3000系列6×4牵引车、载货车及自卸车，配备440马力康明斯欧Ⅴ发动机、艾里逊自动变速箱等高端配置。汽车工程研究院接到样车设计、试制及认证任务后，立即组织相关部门开展工作，完成样车的设计、装配工作。在汽车工程研究院与进出口公司的共同努力下顺利完成认证试验、认证资料提交、样车发送、澳大利亚分公司的注册、交通部样车检查等各项工作，最终在2013年2月份通过澳大利亚交通部的全部审核，取得认证证书。
