 ISO/IEC17025强调足够，主要是强调监督的有效性，足够监督首先要保证监督人员满足：“由熟悉各项检测和校准的方法、程序、目的和结果评价的人员对检测和校准人员包括在培员工进行足够的监督”的条件才能保证监督的有效性。

足够的监督可以从几个方面来保证：

 （1）监督员数量应足够。监督员一般占专业技术岗位人员数量的10%左右。

 质量监督主要是技术工作，就专业知识而言，对监督员的资质要求应高于一般检测/校准、核验人员。

 （3）监督员的权力要足够

 实验室应赋予监督员一定的权力。例如当场指出问题，责令立即改正；当不符合工作的处置发生困难时，可以直接向质量主管或技术主管报告，以便对不符合工作及时采取补救措施；如果报告/证书存在问题，可予以扣发；对纠正措施效果不满意的，可以通过和相关人员沟通，提出整改意见等。
