　　实验室认可是指由政府授权或法律规定的一个权威机构对检测、校准实验室和检查机构有能力完成特定任务作出正式承认的程序。根据我国《认证认可条例》的规定，并经国家认监委授权，权威机构是中国实验室国家认可委员会（简称CNAL）。检测、校准实验室和检查机构通过认可，意味着其管理能力和技术能力符合某项国际或国家标准，在其认可范围内出具的检测结果不但易于为政府所承认，而且也能广泛被社会和贸易双方所使用。

　　随着市场经济的发展，我国实验室认可工作在国际合作方面发展迅速。CNAL是国际实验室认可合作组织（ILAC）和亚太实验室认可合作组织（APLAC）互认协议签署方，所以，其认可结果还会被来自37个经济体的46个ILAC多边互认协议成员以及来自15个经济体的20个APLAC多边互认协议成员所接受，可以有效避免重复性检测，降低成本，简化手续，起到消除国际贸易壁垒的作用，大大促进了国际贸易的快速发展，由此，也使我国在此项工作上的国际地位不断提升。CNAL2001年成功主办了APLAC年会，2003年成功主办了APLAC检查机构研讨会，承担了APLAC能力验证项目，在食品微生物检测方面填补了国内空白，处于世界领先地位。同时，CNAL还承担培训活动的组织工作，参加标准物质工作组，参与检查机构认可实施指南工作组，承担国际同行评审任务和一些期刊编辑出版，在国际上的话语权不断提升。
